1996, Καμπή, Θράκη, Ελλάδα. Κάθε χρόνο οι Αλεβήδες μουσουλμάνοι τιμούν τον Μπάμπα (Αγιο) της περιοχής, που ήταν ένας σοφός και δίκαιος άνθρωπος που έζησε τον 19ο αιώνα. Ο τάφος του βρίσκεται στο χωριό. Άνθρωποι έρχονται από τα γειτονικά χωριά, θυσιάζουν πρόβατα για το κουρμπάνι που είναι το κοινό φαγητό, με κρέας και ρύζι και μαγειρεύεται σε μεγάλα καζάνια. Χιλιάδες άνθρωποι έρχονται από τις πλαγιές να πάρουν το κουρμπάνι. Στο μεταξύ διάστημα οι άνθρωποι κάνουν μιά βόλτα ψάχνοντας για γαμπρό ή νύφη, ή άλλοι για να αγοράσουν φτηνά δώρα για τα παιδιά τους.
1996, Greece, Kampie, Thrace. Each year, the Muslim Alevis honour the Saint of the region, who was a wise and fair man living during the early 19th century. His tomb is in the village. People come from other villages and they slaughter animals for the kurbani, which is the common meal, with meat and rice, prepared for everybody in big boilers. Τhousands of people ascending to get their meal. While they’rewaiting for the kurbani, some people take a walk in the market looking for a future wife or husband, others go and buy cheap presents (clothes, shoes...) for their children.
